UI Stencils
From the makers of Protosketch for iPad, a pack of stencils that let you draw an iOS interface in pencil and paper. Then snap a photo and create a functional prototype of the app you just drew. This is not so new, but I hadn’t seen all the stencils they have available – they even have one for whiteboards.

iOS App Icon Brainstorming Sheet
Continuing the analog app creation tools trend, this is the worksheet I made to help you come up with the perfect app icon. I’ve updated it to include the official golden ratio grid from Apple, and made it print out a bit more clearly.

iOS Artwork Extractor
Ever wonder how Apple assembles those beautiful user interfaces? Or needed to grab an asset from a bundle for one reason or another? This app saves out every graphic available from your simulator or device.

The power of the App Store
EA reported that last quarter, it made more money through Apple’s App Store than any other retail distributor. That includes its own Origin digital-download service.

Anonymous Assassination
Reverse-engineering allows hackers to takeover a pacemaker from up to 50 away, and deliver a lethal shock. You can expect to hear a lot more about security in Internet-connected medical devices.

My favorite app just got better
A couple weeks ago, I profiled a new DJ app that incorporated some cool new features that my go-to, Djay, didn’t have. Well now Djay has struck back, and then some, with version 2.0 – an update that brings some great new additions. Grab it while it’s on sale for half-off.
